Haa | valley

After visiting Paro you can directly back to Phuntsholing, but if you have an extra day or plan to make your Bhutan trip more memorable then visit Haa Valley (simply Ha village). This is an offbeat destination, which can be visit in day trip from Paro, also there is accommodation at Haa village to experience the true nature. This fabulous remote village located just 65 km away from Paro and situated around 8,750 ft. above sea level. On the way to Ha you will notice Indian Army presence to protect our friendly and neighbor Bhutan from out side threats.

          Your first destination at Haa village is Haa Dzong, which is small in terms of size and historical value from others Dzong’s of Bhutan. This was built in 1895, now it is open to visit for tourists. After this you can visit Yangthong Goempa, Chhundu Lhakhang etc.

Limited accommodations are available at Haa valley, our associate hotel and resort located at very convenient location with breathtaking view. The hotel has total 8 numbers of rooms three of them is double bedded standard rooms and four numbers of suites for families. Tariff starting from Nu.1,800 form double bedded standard rooms and Nu.2,200 for suits. All rooms are spacious with all modern facilities and superb view.

          The resort located just 2 K.M away from main Haa town in a superb location. Total 26 numbers of rooms available 12 of them are standard double bedded rooms and rest 14 are deluxe rooms. Tariff starts from Nu.2,200 for standard rooms and Nu.3,200 for deluxe rooms. All rooms are cozy with hygienic western bath.  



How to Reach Haa

Reach: Haa valley can be reached from Paro as well as from Thimpu. Distance from Paro around 65 km and from Thimpu around 150 km. Daily direct bus runs from Thimpu to Haa valley and it will take around 4-4.5 hrs. to reach. Bus also runs between Paro to Haa on few days (not regular).

          Direct taxis and cars are also available to Haa from main tourism points of Bhutan.

Best Season to Visit Haa

Winter is chilly otherwise spring and autumn is best time to visit the valley.
