Pabong (পাবং) (see our Deluxe property) is an ideal destination for enjoying true rural life and pollution free ecological hotspot in Kalimpong district. The Pabong village located within two well-known tourist destinations, Loleygaon and Charkhole. It is one of the best villages in Imposing Eco-tourism Circuit, which offers excellent view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. This is also birding paradise for bird lovers, number of birds can be seen in mountain forest, from just beyond the village. Few are listed here like Minivet, Sunbird, Rollers, swallow, thrush, warbler etc. 

Your tour will memorable for very warm local people, warmer affection. their hospitality and lush green tea gardens. You can collect organic agricultural products, pure honey, handicrafts made of Bamboo, organic farming of Oranges, Large Cardamoms, Broomsticks etc.

Many point of interests are located within few kms and few hours of Pabong, these are described below..

Charkhole (চারখোল) or Charkhol is a small (3.5 km from Pabong) village near Kalimpong, just heaven on the earth. Charkhole situated on 5,500 ft. above sea level and distance from Lolegaon is just 15 K.M. and just 40 K.M. from Lava (Labha).

Jhandi Dara - Sunrise View Point is must visit place or sightseeing location from Pabong, magnificent view of Kanchenjunga is visible from here. If the weather is clear then of Mount Everest also can be seen from here.

Canopy Walk or hanging bridge is famous and one of the main attraction of Loleygaon & North Bengal. Opening time is 7.00 A.M morning and closing time 5.00 P.M evening, entry fee ₹.25/head.

Panbu Dara View Point – a scenic spot on the road to Pabong from Siliguri. An ideal place to enjoy sunrise and sun set, entire plain land of Dooars is visible from here, along with mount Kanchendzonga and Coronation Bridge.

Lolegaon Buddhist Temple is a very beautiful monastery, from here you can get magnificent view of Kanchenjunga. Very peaceful and calm place just few kilometers away from Pabong.

Lava - (লাভা) is a small Himalayan village near Kalimpong and Algarah located around 7,000 ft. above sea level. Lava is gateway to famous Neora Valley National Park and other popular tourist destinations like Rishyop and Loleygaon. From Kalimpong its about 2 hrs. journey through dense dhupi forest, entire route is so charming for travelers.

Bakchal Dara Sunrise View Point – a view point within forest for mesmerizing mountain view, sun rise and sunset.

Teesta Beauty view point – a scenic view point, cool breeze from where you can get mice view of flowing River Teesta.

Munthum Valley: Another offbeat place in Kalimpong, Munthum can be visited very close to this place. 

Kalimpong Town: The distance of Kalimpong is about 25 km from here so you can visit Kalimpong town and nearby places Delo Park etc.

How to Reach Pabong

Nearest railway stations are New Mal Junction (NZM) and New Jalpaiguri (NJP), both are well connected with Kolkata and all major Indian cities. Distance from NJP around 70 km. and from Kalimpong it’s around 25 kms. First of all you need to reach Kalimpong, and then Pabong can be reached easily through Kalijhora, Samtahar and Charkhole. Someone also can reach Pabong from Charkhole (only 3 kms) and from Loleygaon – around 21 kms. Direct car and taxis are available from NJP, Siliguri and Bagdogra (IXB), pick-up and drop service also available from Kalimpong.
