Diarang is a cool and calm village of Arunachal Pradesh which
located around 43 km from Bomdila at West Kameng district. You can spend couple
of days in this village with local friendly people within pollution free environment.
You can leave for Sangti valley by car from Dirang, which located around 30 km
away. On the way to Sangti you can visit Sheep breeding center, Yak research
center, hot spring and orchard.
Next day be
ready for a thrill and scenic journey of your life, now you are on the way to
Tawang from Dirang. On route you need to cross the historical Sela pass – a high
altitude mountain pass located at 13,650 ft. above sea level between the Tawang
and West Kameng. This is most important point of North-East India in terms of defense,
number of Army can be seen here. After crossing the pass you will go through
Sela Lake, which is very scenic and get full frozen in winter.
Then visit Jaswant
Garh War Memorial, a historical place, every Indian will feel proud here. Refreshments
are provided by army for the tourists here. Then proceed to Tawang, en-route
you can stop for a small break at Jang, here ask local people for a breathtaking
waterfall, which is Nuranang Waterfalls. Also Google Map also can help you for
the falls, which has been picturized in Kayla
