Chota Mangwa | offers picturesque view of the Teesta River

Chota Mangwa (ছোটা মাঙয়া) a small hilly village in secluded environment of Darjeeling district, west Bengal, distance from Darjeeling city only 35 K.M. It will take around half hours short driving to Chota Mangwa from Darjeeling city. Curved Tista River flows from very near of this village, its lays between Kalimpong of Darjeeling West Bengal and Namchi of Sikkim. If you are looking ahead you can see sparkling sculpture of Lord Shiba from Namchi (Sikkim) Chardham.

Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri or NJP well connected with all major Indian cities. The Darjeeling Mail, Kanchankanya express, Saraighat express, Tista-Torsa express connecting to Kolkata. Chota Mongwa situated from 68 K.M away from NJP.

          Nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB) daily flight available from Kolkata, Guwahati and Delhi. Book an exclusive car from NJP or from Bagdogra to Chota Mangwa, it’s the best way to transportation, cost would be around Rs.2500/ to Rs.3200/. The way to Mangwa from NJP or Bagdogra goes via Sevok, Tista bazar, from Tista Bazar the main hill road starts to Mangwa, last 2 K.M is dirt road. This main road goes to Takdah and Tinchuley.

Best Season to Visit Chota Mangwa

Chota Mangwa welcomes tourists throughout the year; try to visit at winter time to get orange full complexes and orchards. These oranges are so good in test; you can pluck any number of oranges as you want with minimum charges.
