Sangser
Sangser (স্যাংশের) is one of the beautiful villages in north
Bengal and a small Himalayan forest village near Kalimpong. The village has
only few houses, but lots of natural beauty, breathtaking views and mighty Kanchenjunga.
Sangser located at 4000ft. above sea
level, just 80 km away from Siliguri (Gateway of Sikkim and North Bengal). Distance
from Kalimpong is around 10-12 km.
The main point of interests is flowing
down River Teesta by just bellow of the village and the broad view of
Kanchenjunga in front of the village. Someone can spend a day at this village
while to or from Silk
Route tour. Nature lovers also can spend couple of days here to get the
charm and bird watching, this village also can be visited in a day trip from
Kalimpong-Delo. The village will take a permanent place in the mind and soul.

to Sangser from NJP, Siliguri and Bagdogra. Distance from Siliguri around 80
kms.

jeeps are available from Siliguri to Kalimpong, then call your homestay owner
to pick-up you. You also can hire an exclusive car from Kalimpong to Sangser.
Best Season to Visit
Sangser
Sangser can be visited throughout the year, its
advisable to avoid monsoon, best seasons are March – June and September to November.
